Partners

The following organizations are Food and Farm Project partners:

Center for Integrated Agricultural Systems  (CIAS) – The Center for Integrated Agricultural Systems (CIAS) is a research center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. We are part of the Wisconsin Institute for Sustainable Agriculture. We were created in 1989 to build UW sustainable agriculture research programs that respond to farmer and citizen needs…and involve them in setting research agendas. This means that human relationships are at the core of everything we do.

Driftless Area Magazine – This new magazine features the bio-region in all four states and is collaborating with the Food and Farm Project to tell the stories of food and farming in the region.

SE MN Regional Partnership – The Regional Sustainable Development Partnerships work to sustain Minnesota’s natural resource-based communities and industries by addressing community-identified agriculture, natural resources, and tourism issues in partnership with the University of Minnesota.

Northeast Iowa Food & Farm Coalition – Their mission is to support the development and marketing of locally grown agricultural products to enhance the lives of local citizens.

Riverlands Project – This initiative brings together business, academic, and community leaders from throughout the defined partnership area to develop an economic strategic plan for the region.

Driftless Area Initiative – A multi-state partnership developing a unified voice for natural resource issues in the Driftless Area.

Valley Stewardship NetworkVSN is a locally based, funded, and managed non-profit organization comprising neighbors and friends of the Kickapoo Valley. Our primary goal is to promote a balance between a healthy environment and strong communities.

UW Extension Agricultural Innovation Center – The Agricultural Innovation Center (AIC) supports entrepreneurship and innovation in Wisconsin’s agricultural and food processing sectors through its educational resources, its robust network of technical assistance, and its contributions to economic development projects.

Crossroads Resource Center – Crossroads Resource Center, a non-profit organization, works with communities and their allies to foster democracy and local self-determination.  CRC specializes in devising new tools communities can use to create a more sustainable future.
